Our Mission

The National Biofuels Group will lead the renewable fuels industry through the production of superior quality products at volumes that keep pace with a rapidly growing market.

Our success will be underpinned by a commitment to best practices, ongoing innovation and above all loyalty to our stakeholders and business partners.

We will source the highest quality raw materials and use the world’s best manufacturing processes. By consistently producing high volumes of quality biodiesel, protein-rich animal feed and glycerine, our Group will deliver a competitive edge to our customers; give confidence to our partners and healthy returns to our investors.

To thrive we will invest in the skill development of our employees; capture strategic opportunities that will strengthen our business; and at all times be an honest and ethical corporate citizen.

Our Group is committed to sustainable clean-energy production and recognises the threat of climate change and the importance of reducing harmful pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions.

The mission of the National Biofuels Group has been invaluably shaped by the Late Rodney Brennan, one of the founding Directors of National Biodiesel. Our key commitments are:

  1. A Leader in Quality
    We will lead the biofuels industry in quality. Not all Biofuels are the same, and in particular, biodiesel is subject to variation in quality due to raw material sources and manufacturing processes. Our Group will adopt best practices for feedstock specification to ensure reliable, high-volume production of biodiesel and high protein animal feed of consistently high quality. This will create a competitive edge for our customers, and give certainty to our partners.
  2. Customer Satisfaction
    We strive for ultimate customer satisfaction. We commit to being a vital contributor in the transport, fuel and stock feed sectors by providing locally produced premium products. Our customers expect us to be honest, dependable and responsive to their needs. This means that all our employees are always ready to take on the responsibility of fulfilling these goals.
  3. Investing in Our Employees
    We recognize our employees are our most important asset. We are committed to building a dedicated and skilled team that is focused on achieving the Group’s goals. We will invest in building knowledge, ongoing training and skill development that will benefit individual employees, local communities and our business.
  4. Responsibility for the Environment
    Our Group is committed to sustainable clean-energy production and recognizes the threat of climate change and the importance of reducing harmful pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions. We seek to ensure environmental protection in: the production of our feedstock; our manufacturing process; and in distribution of our products.
  5. Striving for Innovation
    We will lead our market through ongoing research and development that contributes to the progression of the entire industry. We believe that all aspects of our businesses activities- from raw material production, through manufacturing, to the end use of the product- are worthy of improvement, so we are committed to allocating a portion of annual profit towards realizing those gains.
  6. Strong Partnerships
    Every employee in our group has a strong sense of “mission” – we are skilled team members of an ethical company operating in an emerging but vital sector of our Country’s economy. We can, and do, feel pride in being able to tangibly assist our country's energy and food self-sufficiency, be eco-friendly and make a fair profit. Definitely in for the “long-haul”, we see ourselves as a significant force within the Bioenergy sector.
  7. Openness and Honesty
    We are committed to being open and responsible when presenting ourselves to the public. We seek to honestly inform and educate the communities in which we operate on not only the technical aspects but also the cultural competency of the company.
  8. Committed to Competition
    The Group is unreservedly committed to the principles of open competition. Our company’s competitive behaviour seeks to be marked by integrity and fairness as well as openness and transparency of mutual relations.
  9. A Profitable Organisation for the Future
    Our company is a profit-oriented organisation. By deriving profit from fair trading and re-investing in our operations, we are ensuring that our operations and autonomy will be maintained for the future. In that way we can best contribute to a strong national economy and offer security to our employees, suppliers, customers and shareholders.
  10. Achieve World Class Practices
    We are committed to achieve world class status in our operations by adopting performance excellence criteria and achieving ISO9001 certification. This will require meeting certification requirements, including:·
    • Documenting a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business;
    • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
    • Keeping adequate records;
    • Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary;
    • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and
    • Facilitating continual improvement.
