- Pharmaceutical Grade Glycerine (99.5%) derived from virgin vegetable oil
- Crude Glycerol (85%) derived from virgin vegetable oil.

Glycerine Background
Glycerine is used in over 3500 products and is a colourless, odourless, viscous, non-toxic liquid with a very sweet taste. Some uses include:
- Food and beverage products,
- Nutraceuticals,
- Pharmaceutical products,
- Personal care products,
- Oral care products,
- Polyurethane products,
- Many other applications, including agricultural, industrial and laboratory uses.
Pharmaceutical grade (99.5%) Glycerine is a globally traded commodity. There is significant demand for glycerine in RSA and Australia and many potential users replace glycerine with a synthetic compound that can be produced locally.
NBG will produce high grade pharmaceutical (99.8%) glycerine from non-genetically modified vegetable oil sources. Since the advent of ‘mad cow’ disease and genetically modified plants, consumer pressure has resulted in the Glycerine market becoming very sensitive to traditional tallow and genetically modified oil sources.
